Saudi home care programme benefits over 15,000 patients
2012-05-16 - AMEinfo.com | Saudi Arabia | Latest News - Saudi Arabia: The Saudi health ministry has said the number of patients who have benefited from the Home Health Care Programme has exceeded 15,000 patients ever since it was introduced in April 2010, Arab News has reported. According to the ministry, 31% of the patients covered by the program suffer from chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiac and renal diseases. Furthermore, 18% are Alzheimer's and psychiatric patients, 14% paralytics, 11% suffer from diabetic foot diseases, 5% from chronic respiratory diseases, another 5% from urinary tract diseases and 2% from malignancy.
