2012-02-20 - SPA - Rain-seeking prayers were performed today throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with the tradition of the Prophet (Peace be upon him). The Prophet used to perform "Istisqa" (rain-seeking) prayers in case of drought or a delay in rainfall. In Makkah and Madinah, the prayers were performed at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, respectively. They were attended by Prince Khalid bin Faysal bin Abd al-Aziz, the Governor of Makkah Region, and Prince Abd al-Aziz bin Majid bin Abd al-Aziz, the Governor of Madinah Region.
