Saudi Arabia's Almarai eyes increased stake in PepsiCo joint venture
2012-02-29 - AMEinfo.com | Saudi Arabia | Latest News - Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia's Almarai and PepsiCo Inc. are in talks to increase the dairy firm's stake in a joint venture formed with the US soft drink giant in 2009, Reuters has reported. The Gulf's largest dairy firm by market value, currently holds 48% in International Dairy Juice Ltd (IDJ), with PepsiCo owning the remaining 52% stake. "Almarai is looking at possibly slightly increasing their ownership of IDJ," the company said. "It is anticipated that an announcement could be made during the course of March 2012, although discussions are still ongoing."
